Question to ask: What time each day am I going to intentionally commit to the Lord?
Take a moment to reflect upon your typical day.

What does your morning routine look like?
Do you begin your day by scrolling through your phone? Do you enjoy a cup of coffee before heading out the door? Are you rushing to beat the alarm and get to work or school?

What about throughout your day?
Do you pause to pray? Do you acknowledge God in the middle of your responsibilities?
And what about your evenings? Do you unwind by watching TV, reading a book, or scrolling on social media?

Simply pause for a moment and think about what your current daily rhythm looks like. Now imagine what would change if you intentionally began and ended every day with God.
Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus consistently making time to be alone with the Father. More than thirty times, Scripture records Jesus withdrawing to pray, seek God's direction, or simply spend time in communion with Him

In Mark 1:35, we read: "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, went out, and made his way to a deserted place; and there he was praying."
Before the demands of the day began, Jesus made time for His Father.

In Luke 6:12, we see another example: "During those days He went out to the mountain to pray and spent all night in prayer to God."
Jesus prayed before major decisions, after miracles, during seasons of temptation, and in moments of deep sorrow. If the Son of God intentionally made time with the Father a priority, how much more do we need to do the same?

God also gives us this instruction in Joshua 1:8: "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

In order to know God’s word, we must be intentional with spending time reading his word.  If we desire to grow closer to God, we need to ensure that we are intentionally spending time with Him. Our relationship with God isn't built on occasional moments; it grows through consistent, intentional time in His presence.
So today, let us not just hope to find time, let us set the time.

Choose a specific time each day that you will intentionally meet with the Lord. Protect that time. Make it a priority. As you consistently spend time in His presence, you'll discover that He begins to shape your thoughts, strengthen your faith, and guide your steps.

Dear God,
Thank You for today. Thank You for every person taking time to read this devotional. Thank You that You desire a relationship with us and invite us into Your presence.
Lord, reveal how we can be more intentional with our time spent with You. Help us not to simply fit You into our schedules but to build our schedules around spending time with You. Teach us to seek You first each morning, to end each day in Your presence, and to remember You in every moment in between. Give us a hunger for Your Word and a desire to know You more deeply. Help us to step away from the distractions of this world so we can hear Your voice more clearly.
May everything we do bring glory and honor to You.
