Seeing the transformational impact a relationship with Jesus has on those around him, is what he knows He was made to be a part of. As the Discipleship Pastor, Derick gets the opportunity to walk alongside people helping them discover who God made them to be, and navigate what that looks like practically in their life.

Derick loves playing the guitar. anything outdoors, particularly in a mountain stream with a fly rod in his hands. He loves watching the woods come alive from a deer stand. He and Katie have been married 15 years and have 2 beautiful girls Annie and Marion. As a family, they love to travel and experience new things and places.

She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University in 2017 and felt called back to Rescue House, so that she can fully invest in the next generation as our Rise Up Student Director!

She has a passion for the next generation of the church and for creating a fun environment for them to meet Jesus, build relationships, and grow a strong foundation in their faith that will carry them beyond grade school – just as our student ministry did for her!

Casey Dillow

Middle School Youth Director

Casey grew up in a tiny town in Maryland. After marrying the love of her life in 2008, she moved to Carlisle, PA—and then in 2018, followed God’s call to North Carolina with her family. Her first month in NC was full of firsts: she was invited to a stranger’s house to taste their chili, discovered what a "buggy" was, and and figured out that Cheerwine is the best soda product in the universe.

Casey earned her Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Psychology from McDaniel College in 2008. She spent eight years in the classroom, teaching elementary, middle, and high school students—mostly in alternative settings. Over time, she discovered a deep passion for working with middle schoolers. She loves their quirkiness, sense of humor, energy, and how God wired them. She is committed to walking alongside students during one of the most formative seasons of their lives.

When she's not serving students, you’ll likely find Casey dominating family game night with her three kids (she always wins), enjoying a date night with her husband, hiking the great outdoors, or indulging in a snickerdoodle cookie.

James Collins

James has grown up in the Triad and surrounding areas and graduated from Forsyth Tech in 2003 with a degree in computer networking. He and his wife, Laura, have been a part of Rescue House Church since 2014. Laura was actually the first person to accept Christ at our Winston Salem campus. After serving four years as the Winston-Salem Production Director, James is now the Technical Director. He oversees the technical and production operations church-wide and has a passion for putting the gospel on display in the most excellent way through technology.

James enjoys spending time with his wife, relaxing with his dog, Lyla, playing disc golf, and serving as the hands and feet of Jesus at Rescue House Church.

Savannah is married to Daniel, our Worship Pastor. Together, they’ve loved serving the Church and walking in ministry side by side. They’re raising four energetic boys—with another on the way—and Savannah loves spending time outdoors with them, whether it’s hitting baseballs or tossing a football.

Andy Burick

Facilities Director

Hello Church! My name is Andy Burick, and I am honored to serve as the Facilities Director here at Rescue House Church.

What an answer to prayer this position is. After retiring in 2014, I found myself without much purpose or direction. In 2017, I started a business that ran for about eight years, but if I’m honest, it never really connected with my heart.

In 2018, James Collins, our Production Coordinator here at Rescue House, came calling and became one of my clients. Little did I know at the time that God was using that connection for something far greater. God didn’t just send me here as a client—He sent me here to change my life. Praise God!

Now, He has given me the incredible gift of this position, and I can truly say that I work for Jesus. This is who God made me to be!

Speaking of gifts, God has first and foremost blessed me with two amazing daughters, two wonderful grandchildren, and my lovely wife, Sherry—who has faithfully supported, encouraged, and prayed for me through every season of this journey. I am deeply grateful for her and for this church family.

Thank you for allowing me to serve, and I look forward to what God will continue to do here at Rescue House.
