3 Losing Strategies
______________________
Read – 1 John 2:16-17
Dwell – Pride of Life | Lust of Flesh | Lust of the eyes
Last week, we explored the reality that the sin we struggle with originates from an enemy whose mission is to steal, kill, and destroy. One of his primary tactics is to lure us into aligning with the desires of our flesh.
The lust of the eyes draws us toward things we see and want—even when they compromise who we are becoming in Christ. Our flesh craves the things of this world, and culture often reinforces the lie that “if it feels good, it must be right.”
This mindset leads to the pride of life—a sense of entitlement that convinces us we deserve or have earned the very things God has lovingly warned us to avoid. These temptations may offer temporary satisfaction, but ultimately, they lead to death. If not physical, then emotional or spiritual separation from God.
Pray – “Where has the enemy attached his strategy in your life?
Is it through your eyes, your flesh, or your pride?
What needs to be surrendered so that you can walk fully in freedom?”
