The Problem

Read – John 10:10 & James 4:17
Dwell – Your story has a villain—and his intent is clear: to steal, kill, and destroy. The enemy is the great disrupter in our transformation, whispering the same lie he did in Genesis 3: “Isn’t there something else that can satisfy you more than God?”
In a broken world, we’re constantly offered substitutes for fulfillment—money, success, possessions, influence, even responsibility. While all these things can be good and even God-given, they become dangerous when pride creeps in. What was meant to be a gift can turn into a burden when it replaces the Giver.
When anything takes priority over God, it becomes a hindrance—or as Scripture calls it, sin. James reminds us that to know the right thing to do and not do it is sin.
Pray – “What in your life has become an idol?
What needs to be removed so you can walk in the freedom God desires for you?
What’s standing in the way of all He has in store?”
