What is Spiritual Formation?
______________________
Read – James 1:19-25
Dwell – Spiritual formation is the ongoing process of being transformed into the image of Christ. The more time we spend with Him and in His Word, the more we come to know His nature, His character, and His deep desire for relationship with us. Transformation, however, isn’t always easy—it often involves a painful but necessary chiseling away of our own desires, habits, and identities, so that we may be conformed to His likeness. Did you know that Scripture calls us image-bearers of God?
Pray – “When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Do you see more of yourself—or more of Jesus? And when others look at you, do they see you, or do they see Him shining through your life? What needs to shift in my life to bear the Image of God in my life?”
